Roger vs Charlie - the interviews and the winner is.... MONERO!
It was clear from interviews on CNBC that both Charlie and Roger have different styles and approaches to promoting and moreover marketing their coins.
Now I own all the coins listed here and I have no emotional or sentimental attachment any of them. I only have one concern and that is how are my investments performing and are they headed in the right direction! So I read the earning reports, I watch the interviews with the CEO's of the companies I own, I want to know what's in the pipeline, bottom line I do my due diligence and as an investor, and you should to!
The chart is quite clear, and as I wrote on XMR’ a week or so ago, I stated clearly, "its not what I like, its what the market does". The market has clearly chosen Monero'!
Now maybe Charlie and Roger read this, maybe they don't. But here are my recommendations as a shareholder of both on the interview.
Charlie - They threw you softballs and you failed to knock it out of the park. Every commentator gave you opportunity to state why your coin is the best coin out there and why people should be buying it. Your responses were way too philosophical. You appeared to be riding the coat tail of bitcoin, and though you clearly said Litecoin is faster and cheaper, you did not say better! You do not represent a philosophical movement anymore, you represent the LTC' coin holders, and you need to understand that to survive. The biggest marketing I saw for litecoin' was the chart comparing it to BTC' and ETH' showing a 25% increase in Litecoin and Neha Narula who knocked it out of the park. Say what you want, the recent surge in LTC' is due to an influx of U.S. money into coinbase not because wall and main street believe the coin is better.
Roger - Talk about marketing a coin. I think he could sell yellow snow to Eskimos or at least make an argument. But I had to replay it 3x’s. SLOW IT DOWN! I had to replay one of the most critical things you said about google developers destroying bitcoin! When they started out by saying you were on the beach I about fell over. Seriously an interview on the most watched financial television show on earth and you can not setup a live video feed? But you did come out firing and showed passion, at least from your voice when I could keep up. The best argument actually came from Brian Kelly when asked if he had to pick between BTC' and BCH', he stated he would pick BCH'. This was powerful and I am adding to BCH' here because of that alone!
Because of coinbase LTC' has a free pass and a HUGE first mover advantage, but if you think this will last your kidding yourself. Eventually coinbase will offer other coins and then the race is on. What is interesting is the coin least likely to make it on coinbase is XMR'! Say what you want about LTC' or BCH', XMR' is gaining ground silently. Even Charlie stated "few currencies will have value", and the "people will choose which ones" have value. The fact XMR' is not as easily accessible in the U.S. and is the three month leader speaks volumes to what the market thinks.
Bottom line there will be more interviews for sure. It took years to get Cryptos to where they are now, and hopefully the CEO's of these two coins take note that they represent us! Charlie you need to make an argument why LTC' is the best coin for money transfers, forget the philosophical views. Roger, you didn't take this interview seriously! Make some time out of your "beach day" to setup a live video feed, even if it is sipping margaritas at the beach bar! And SLOW IT DOWN! There are no participation trophies for investors! We want results!
ZEC' is the apparent loser in the race for space. Why? Marketing Marketing Marketing! This is the only coin I will NOT be adding to. Why? Losers average Losers, and quite frankly ZEC' is losing! Now because of the current run I am waiting for a pullback to add to LTC' and it has almost hit our target level. It is also setting up for a trade towards the weekend, so I will buy on any pullback!

It takes about an 2 hours to write an article and in that time LTC has gone up 12%. Charlie this is your time baby! Take advantage of it!!!!!!

I think many miss the point. I could care less about the philosophy of any coin! It's about leadership and marketing. This is why Walmart crushed Sears and K-Mart. This is why Amazon is crushing other retailers and the mall. Leadership and marketing is more important than having the best product. I could care less about transfers, size limits etc.... They will all fix this and adapt or disappear! This is why blackberry ceases to exist or barely survives on patents now. They had the best product but poor leadership. Now they sell licensing on their patents. They had great products and poor leadership!
