The question I have is: why do you assume it will go down in waves rather than stabilizing around 11/11k?

@mybitcoinage, Price moves with intent. The intent here are the stops at the mentioned major handles. Why in waves? That is how price moves. Usually it lacks the liquidity to do it one sustained move.

@xtrader1, but it has stabilized ... ;-) No more waves, or let's say: they where much smaller.

@mybitcoinage, one has to consider time and price. Waves do not always move symetric in time. After 2nd wave we see often a retrace to run the stops.
