Although the 1hr Tf doesn't always hold much weight in regards to structure i feel a break of the ascending trendline at $9800 would then trigger a strong sell off towards the $9000 level.

Price now breaking below the ascending trendline support outline above. This for me now has all the legs to breach the 9k mark.

Hi Tom. Thanks for sharing your analysis. I gained a lot from the demonstration of the 50EMA effects on the price. I got to looking at the historical action of BTC and found that when the 200EMA is violated (even if it bounces), it tends to change the market from bearish/bullish and vice versa.
Would you agree? And if so, it appears that the 200EMA is at 8790 or thereabouts, meaning if that is broken, it could change to a bearish market altogether.
I've only been doing this for 3-4 months so I could be mistaken.
I think btc might go for 8300~ but it will be a very very quick drop and will retrace really fast, so we must keep an eye to buy on the dip.

@HanktheTank, I do agree yes, i use the 200 as a Daily, Weekly & Monthly setup is a feel it provides more weight than that of the lower TF's
