Strength of the GBP will return with a soft brexit, a lot of where the sterling goes is hinged on the deal struck between the UK and the EU. Talks are almost over, the euro zone is already struggling and it's the interest of both sides to comes to a good trade agreement, there is no point hamstringing the economies when the US seems to be strong.
The GBP has been trading at a discount for quite some time, looks like a good value sell. Keep an eye out for brexit news.
