In the short term the USD dollar has some weakness now but the usd dollar is going to go into a massive bull run as the Commodity GFC hits full steam.
I'm looking for it usdcad to fall as far as 1.34 and then go long to drive up on the lower end of the long term trend.
Canada is only just starting it's deflation so I would be thinking it could make it to 1.6 pretty easily, perhaps overshoot to 1.7 and then come back again.

Not control, there is a big shake out in process and commodity countries & business will not be able to escape it. The more defaults there are the more money that moves into USD and all commodity debt is in USD so this will create a doom loop where more and more will go under and trigger more movement of money to USD.
I would expect this to take between 6months to 2 years by which point CAD would be at 1.6 to 1.7 where it can be a long term short back again.

the more chaos.. the more commodities prices will go up.. without global production Usd is doomed as well. it has a Trade DEFICIT.. not a surplus.

But which commodities are going up? If you look at the long term trends for iron ore, copper, oil, lng they are all coming of the back of a mega boom so there is so much surplus and overproduction.

I thought about those commodity businesses.. like the US has a oil debt problem & there is no way for them to pay the debt without some help.. I say they are to big 2 fail.. They are needed!! they'll just be bailed out.. as for minning companies.. im no expert but I say w/e.. only the important one's needed will be saved..like copper for example.. its needed for Everything.. businesses can fall down like a broken chain.. weakest to strongest but it wont start from the biggest.. You get me.. Business for gold.. whats gold really used for.. jewelry..rare items & toilets.. lol.. there is soo much gold in the world that loosing a business involved with a commodity that is used for rare things wont be a big factor..Remember there is an abundant amount of gold..
