Zcash ROADMAP NETWORK UPGRADE 0 – OVERWINTER Activation Schedule: June, 2018 Network Upgrade 0 – Overwinter is focused entirely on making itself and future network upgrades safer for users, even in the case of governance contention. We’ll describe more of its design and features in an upcoming post.
According to their initial plans, the first of those upgrades was to function as a preparatory kind of upgrade. It was scheduled to be launched in June of this year. That has now been revealed to be going live on June 25th. This upgrade will focus entirely on making the network and any other future upgrades safer for the community of users. The Overwinter upgrade, which was announced in early March, is backward incompatible which means it’s primarily a hard fork. After the upgrade, the network will be able to have added features like replay protection, transaction expiry, and versioning. Another upgrade will be Sapling coming later in July. It aims at introducing major improvements that will make it possible to have shielded transactions on mobile wallets. According to Wilcox, these upgrades could pave way for “unlimited numbers of transactions, novel consensus algorithms such as Proof-of-Stake, and private and scalable smart contracts.”

Zcash is a great HODL! If you see recent developments then I can see a bigger picture.
1. ZEC was added to Gemini Exchange -- means now USD/ZEC pair is active.. Gemini is the exchange from which CBOE index is decided. Winklevoss twins interested in ZEC is a big deal , they are tech pioneers ... FB.. BTC... now ZEC
2. Circle added ZEC.. Biggest investor of circle is Goldmansachs...
3. A ZEC miner was recently launched...
4. ZEC is listed on majorly all exchanges...
Getting approved by toughest and highest regarded regulator in world (NY State) is a big deal. It has cleared a big regulatory hurdle.
I am buying huge ZEC to hedge against BITCOIN... ZEC functionality starts where BTC left !!! In my opinion this is a great hedge against BTC... and general crypto...Remember BCASH also had some crazy bull run and then it went down and then it made a crazy bull run...
