Ghana hoping for IMF agreement by next week: finance ministry official

Ghana's treasury and debt management director Samuel Arkhurst said on Wednesday that if a team from the International Monetary Fund (IMF) leaves without a staff-level agreement next week, it will delay and complicate economic recovery efforts.

The IMF team is visiting Ghana until Dec. 13 as the country negotiates a relief package before the end of the year.
