Demark TD Sequential Alerts (Simplified)

Having all those numbers onscreen doesn't do much for me, so I've made the important ones (i.e. the 9s and 13s) very obvious while hiding the counting. You can re-enable it in settings. Due to Tradingview limitations it can look a bit odd with them enabled, as I have made some sacrifices to prioritised visual simplicity.

I've also added alerts for the 4 different BUY/SELL signals so you can even step away from the charts!

There isn't much wiggle room with the TD Sequential rules so I find the best way to 'tune' the performance is to open your favourite trading pair and then cycle through timeframes (1H, 2H, 4H, 6H, 12H, D, etc.) until you find the one where the signals are showing closest to the tops and bottoms of trends. It's usually a pretty striking difference when you find the right one.

I don't have a huge amount of experience with this type of trading so any purists out there are welcome to correct me or offer suggestions.
Phát hành các Ghi chú: Update removes the TD13 signals because the code doesn't reflect the original Demark rules. The main use of Sequentials (in my opinion) is the TD9 signals to show exhaustion anyway, so I'm leaving it like that for now until I have a chance to debug the TD13s issue.
Phát hành các Ghi chú: Updated to Pine version 3

Thanks Scarf, how do you setup the Alert ? Which condition should I use? Thanks!

With thanks to the scripts by glaz, bioharz and stripykitteh, but mostly this page, which explains the concepts beautifully: https://tradetrekker.wordpress.com/tdsequential/

@scarf, I like this very much! But the alerts aren't always triggering. Any thoughts on why? Any repainting going on or something?

@romangeniuz, I'm not sure why that might be. There's no repainting. Can you PM me some more details?

@romangeniuz, I misunderstood the question. The indicator will show and then remove a signal as it become value or invalid. If you're using this to trade then wait until the bar closes, and make sure you alerts are set to fire on bar close.

Hello Scarf, I think you're the only person who simplified the Demark sequential, that was so good to me because it make the charts not as messy as before, thanks again for created this "MISS" (make it simple stupid approach) for us. =D

@UnknownUnicorn2439498, Stick to high timeframes like 12h and above. I cycle between 12h, 1d, 2d and 3d to see what lines up best. Price Action in crypto can't be trusted (apart from maybe BTC, ETH & LTC but even then it's all squeezes and barts lately) so whatever you can do to reduce the noise is gonna help

It's worth mentioning that even though a signal might be pointing up it's not necessarily a long signal. If price is trend then it's an opportunity to go short, as price will usually pullback briefly. If you see two up signals in a row it's generally a sign that a market has gone from ranging to trending, and a short might make more sense. I've been trading TDs for about 18 months and I recommend the indicator by Brobear for anyone looking to learn the full system, which I highly recommend.
