I changed the detection of a momentum change: momentum change now corresponds to the high of the MDI, provided it is above the user-specified threshold.

Great indicator. Tried to add the alarm function but get errors. All the lines starting with // are invisible but when you change those i.e remove you get an error saving the script and adding to the chart. Do you think it would be possible for you to add alerts function?

You need to add an alert (at a random spot on the chart). Then open your alert and go to "Alert options". There you can then select "DMI - cross" / "DMI + cross".
In fact, all the code does, is adding those 2 extra items to the default alert options.

Thank you for the reply. What is that I am trying to do is make a custom alert but the script is a bit long to do so. Then I am trying to make a strategy and back test it and then back to signals/alerts

Forgot to mention: I also re-centered the chart to the area -30 / +30 (originally 0 / 60).
This puts the histogram in the centre of the chart, which I like better than having a histogram at the bottom of a chart.
