I wanted to see if I could programmatically identify the conditions I saw just before Bitcoin broke its all-time high end of 2020. The signal picks up several rocket launch moments prior to launching which is quite cool. It also picks up a few false starts, however. In any case, I would have loved to be stopped out on those false starts but been there for all the starts this thing picks up.
It could probably use more confirmatory elements such as trailing conditions and volume perhaps?
@drladixit, Im working on this to catch new ATH tops after a good bull run (not dips to buy) but when its time to gtfo and watch it drop. Volume patterns tend to be amazing at this

@trggrhppy, since we can modify the code, what parameters we could change so it will give signal for lesser conditions but still potentially explosive ?. Is it the emadistanceCondition? may use it for stocks. Thanks

@MasBart, I wrote this to achieve two things a) learn more about pine and tradingview (being used to python I wanted a quicker prototype environment) and b) to see if I could automate the conditions I saw that have netted me the best trades which I felt were repeating again and again.
To answer your question: what I would do is put the parameters in inputs instead of magic numbers in the script and rendering in overlay mode (not rendering bbw) and playing around in timeframes you are interested in. You could turn it around and mark timeframes you want to be identified and doing some sort of grid search on the parameters or something more advanced (genetic algorithm) but I would start with adding inputs and making it easier to see (maybe not green bars but clear markers under the line. Hope that helps..
