Stoch RSI Crossover Strat + EMA - YT:Trade Pro

This strat is the one illustrated by Trade Pro in the YT video "76% Win Rate Highly Profitable Trading Strategy Proven 100 Trades - 3 EMA + Stochastic RSI + ATR"

It uses Stochastic RSI Crossover to determine when the enter the trade and multiple EMA to identify the trend. ATR is used to calculate SL and TP. Watch the video if you need more info on the strat.

In testing the 3:1 RRR seemed to lead to drawdowns, but certain currency pairs worked e.g EURGBP on 15min. USDCAD also seemed to work with a 1:3 risk reward ratio.

@TomTrades, Hi Tom, just wanted leave a quick note here to say thanks for the coins. The reason why not all the crossover signals are listed is because some signals are filtered if they don't follow the EMA rules as illustrated in the YT video. I tested this a little with and without the EMA rules to figure out if the EMA actually add value. Looking at totals it looks like the EMA does not add value e.g. the percent profitable trades seemed the same, but when I looked a few more examples it appeared that when the EMA rules are followed that the profitable trades are almost double than without the EMA rules. I think in the context of this scalping strategy it is relevant.

In version 1 the trades are closed when the SL and TP are reached. The close on the same candle is less frequent.
In version 1.1 I had a look if a trailing SL improves things. It did significantly, but partly because the trades are closed on the same candle frequently. I am aware that when in doubt, pine script favors the strategy.

I might update 1.2 with some of the suggestions, but here are some tweaks to v.1 that can be done easily:

line 77-80, replace 'open' with 'close'. This is bug in v.1

To disable the EMA filters, line 57 & 59, comment out the EMA rules e.g. line 57 becomes
barbuy = crossup // and ema...

Amazing work man this is great! would you be able to make this into a study and allow for adding alerts so i can use it with webhook. As long as there is the option for sending the buy signal and the tp signal it would be fantastic

Great , excellent, incredible,

This can be used in live charts for trading too?

I dont understand how to calculate the stop loss and take profit

@nachotagle26, the stop loss in the video is 3x the ATR value and take profit is 1x ATR. You can use the ATR indicator as like in the video to get this value. You can also set the ATR multiplier in the settings. the default is 3x stoploss and 1x profit. 1x risk and 3x profit seemed to work on USDCAD.

I would not recommend this strategy exactly like this for live trading, but rather to back test if the strategy has potential. For example I am wondering if adding a trailing stop loss would produce better results on more currency pairs.

@gizmoza2018,
great! Is there a possibility to adjust the risk / reward ratio a little better?

@nachotagle26, yes, I have replaced this stop loss and take profit with a trailing stop loss and it works much better. Look for v.1.1

@gizmoza2018, great work! however, tradingview trailing stops do not seem to be much reliable and often produce way better results in backtesting.
