A simple script to add background colors to specific timeframes. Great for trading futures so you can separate sessions for easier viewing. Use for stocks to separate pre, open, and post market times.
There are three timeframes that can be set and all colors can be modified.
This script shows the difference between a future's continuous current contract (e. g. CL1!) and the continuous next contract (e. g. CL2!). Normally, the next contract is more expensive ("Contango" - shown in green). If the next contract is cheaper, the difference is negative ("Backwardation" - shown in red).
A change between Contango and Backwardation...
A simple way to find out if the security in question is a regular, perpetual, or futures pair.
This reads the data of the security's description and sees if the word perpetual or futures is mentioned.
The method to check if a string has the letters we seek was first introduced by MichelT .
Thank you for checking this out and I hope this helps unlocking new...
This is a fractal version of my deep learning script for SPY
In addition, buy and sell conditions may appear in bar colors in green and red.
You can choose from the menu if you wish.
Fractal codes do not belong to me.
So I didn't put any license.
You can use it as you want, you can change and modify.
This indicator measures value of basis (or spread) of current Futures contracts compared to spot. The default settings are specifically for Bitmex XBTU19 and XBTZ19 futures contracts. These will need to be updated after expiration. Also, it seems that Tradingview does not keep charts of expired contracts. If anyone...
This is an adapted version of The Gandalf Project Research System strategy that was discussed by Domenico D’Errico and Giovanni Trombetta in “System Development Using Artificial Intelligence.” The code was converted from NinjaTrader 8 to TradingView with two additional options: 1) to change the quantity to a fixed number and 2) relax the exit condition if Use Alt...
Used to show Contango or Backwardation in futures contracts vs spot price. You can input your own tickers so can technically can be used to compare anything.
* In this example I'm showing Okex Quarterly contract vs Okex spot index price because it showcases it better.

This indicator calculates difference between price of Bitmex's XBTUSD, and Bitmex's two nearest futures.
If the difference is negative, then it is backwardation.
If the difference is positive, then it is contango.
This script will be updated every about 3 months, when the nearest Bitmex future will be expired.
This is an updated script of ...
Earlier this week I discovered a new built-in variable called syminfo.type
What is it for?
This variable returns the type of the current symbol. Possible values are cfd, stock, futures, indices, forex, crypto, fund.
Cool bro but... should we care?
Well... we all should. Imagine you have a generic script and you want a different...
Update to my previous Herrick Payoff Index script. This script pulls Quandl futures data with daily open interest. The prior version only used the weekly Commitment of Traders open interest data so could only be used on weekly bars. Note: Must use Quandl Symbol methodology in chart (i.e. enter symbol as QUANDL:CHRIS/CME_FC2, QUANDL:CME/FCX2016, ect.)....
It is used to detect volume resistors in a personalized way, since it allows the user to enter the volume in which he wishes the resistance to jump automatically.
It does not mark the black line and the graphic that's just to help understand how it works
in the above image can see the indicator works on 30 minutes chart...
Shows the CBOE and CME settlement dates as horizontal lines, with the option to show a 7 day warning in the background. This should hopefully give ample warning.
I intend to update the script as new dates become available but please PM if I've forgotten.
The entry and exit levels here are NOT derived from any specific indicator but are coming from our A.I. driven proprietary models.
This is an attempt at exploring the trading community here at TradingView and sharing our daily trading plans published at our site with the community here in the form a Pine Script - just starting and learning this platform. Please...
A handy script to detect opportunities in the futures market during extreme movement.
During rallies, futures usually tend to be US$10 above spot price, on the other hand it can be $1 below spot price when the price starts to decline.
You could also draw a trendline to it :) measuring the amount of risk people are willing to take just to predict future prices in...
