The company has a legacy of more than 100 years and has become the market leader in the batteries segment, commanding over 50% of India's market share, and holding more than 70% of India's organized flashlights market. It has 65% top-of-mind brand recall value.
The Company will explore countermeasures against the large-scale dumped flashlights from China and is making efforts to improve margins by change of mix in the product portfolio of the lighting segment.
It will also focus to reduce the debt levels and has concurrently refinanced its high-cost debts at lower rates to strategically lower the interest burden.
Company is focusing growth in LED based Luminaires both in the consumer and professional lighting space. Further expansion is being planned to tap electrical hubs for distribution of Luminaires
