The major indices are poised to fall in the next week or so. The bearish case is illustrated by a double top which is very clear on an hourly timeframe in major indices like spy. Other than technical indicators the news is also not encouraging. A recovery from the present situation is easily weeks away if not months and therefore in the short run there is an indication of a fall.
