(Goldman Sachs) Gold Analysis

Global gold ETFs saw net inflows of 28.5 tonnes in August, reversing years of net outflows, led by North American markets. Analysts at Standard Chartered and Goldman Sachs expect these inflows to accelerate, especially as interest rate cuts boost gold's appeal to Western investors. Demand remains strong as central banks are also stepping up purchases.
Gold's bullish momentum shows no signs of slowing down. Gold prices have risen more than 27% so far this year and could hit the $3,000 mark if U.S. economic data deteriorates or geopolitical risks intensify. Given the current vertical price action, a short-term correction is possible, but most major banks predict that gold prices will continue to rise until 2025, driven by continued rate cuts, ETF inflows, and safe-haven demand. Traders should expect gold prices to maintain support at $2,600, with the potential to break through $2,850 by 2025.
