Testing out this theory. $APPN levels work out almost exactly with the Fib Retracement tool wave 1 and 2. Testing the fib timeline tool for wave 3 which indicates slightly higher before entering wave 4 retracement back to $113.60 buy-zone in mid-late December.

Readjusted the location of wave 1 - it moved the retracement up to $132.

Still learning here but I searched out a few charts of different stocks (tsla, shop, docu, tdoc, zm) that had these kind of crazy breakouts to understand how the chart behaved after a breakdown occurs. It seems to me that the 50day sma is the key indicator. Once it fails it falls...the target zone could be a return above the 50day sma at which point many of these others charts found new ATHs.

The fib retracement is suggesting a bottom around a $146-$153 zone. That also coincides really closely with the trendline and potentially where the 50 day SMA is headed.
