Analysis of gold price trend on Monday

In the Asian market on Monday, spot gold fluctuated slightly and is currently around 2410. As former US President Trump was shot in the right ear at a campaign rally last Saturday, the possibility of him regaining the White House throne has increased. The market expects that betting on his victory will increase in the coming week, which provides support for the US dollar index and puts slight pressure on gold prices.
Investors are increasingly confident that the Fed will cut interest rates soon after the unexpectedly weaker CPI data in the US, although the PPI data remains strong and has not changed the general expectation of a rate cut in September. After the unexpected decline in US consumer prices, the data reinforces the view that the downward trend in inflation has resumed and raises hopes for a rate cut by the Fed. Pushing gold higher!
