$AMC Daily Notes 31DEC2021 (wishful thinking)

I've been tracking the 21JAN2022 $145 calls for a while and OI has been steadily climbing and now sits at a whopping 180k. I noticed a similar trend in March 2021 with the 18JUN21 $40 calls. So that got me thinking: what kind of move would we need to reach $145 by their expiration date? So I drew a trend line from 14DEC-21DEC (yellow line segment). I was surprised to see the trend line intersected 21JAN2022 very close to $145. I then copied the bar pattern from the May/June run up to see if the same move would get us at/above $145 by 21JAN2022 and was again surprised. So if we get the same parabolic move we had in May/June, these calls could still have a chance to ITM before they expire. I even moved the pattern to the right to see how late that move could occur and still have the $145 calls ITM at expiration (pictured below). As the title says, this is wishful thinking but just thought I'd share. AMC
