Gann Pyramid Time Cycles [PyraTime]

109
Gann Pyramid Time Cycle by PyraTime is a specialized technical analysis tool based on the harmonic theories of W.D. Gann. Unlike standard indicators that smooth price with averages (like EMAs or RSIs), PyraTime focuses on Time-Price Geometry, operating on the principle that specific time intervals dictate market structure.

This script allows traders to anchor a starting point (a major high or low) and project "Pyramid" time cycles forward. It uses esoteric counts (such as the 27-minute Lunar cycle and the Square of 144) to identify potential pivot points and structural breakout zones.

Key Features
Custom Time Anchoring: Set a specific historical date and time as your "Zero Point." All analysis projects mathematically from this single anchor.

Harmonic Intervals: Includes specific Gann intervals (Lunar 27m, Solar 33m, Master 22m) alongside standard timeframes.

Cycle Confluence Detector: Automatically highlights the chart background when multiple independent time cycles align, indicating a high-probability volatility window.

Structural Breakout Signals: Identifies "Time-Price Boxes" by capturing the High/Low range at the start of a major harmonic cycle. Signals are generated only when price breaks this defined structure.

Smart Dashboard: A monitor panel that tracks active cycles and counts down to the next major time pivot.

Comprehensive Tutorial
1. The Concept: Squaring Time and Price
The core utility of this script is to visualize the "Rhythm" of the market. It does not use moving averages. Instead, it waits for a "Time Beat" to complete and then marks the price range of that moment as a critical zone for the future.

2. Setting Your Anchor (Crucial Step)
The accuracy of this tool depends entirely on your Origin Pivot.

Identify a significant Major High or Major Low.

Open Settings and set the "Origin Pivot (Anchor)" to that exact Date and Time.

The script will immediately recalculate all geometry from that point.

3. Selecting Your Cycles
The script offers two cycle categories:

Standard Intervals: 4H, Daily (Good for macro trends).

Gann Intervals:

27m (Lunar): (Default ON) Effective for high-volatility assets like Crypto/Indices.

33m (Solar): Often tracks institutional algorithmic flows.

144m: The "Square of 12" master cycle.

4. How to Trade the Signals
The Vertical Lines (Time Pivots) These represent purely Time. When price hits a line, expect a shift in behavior (reversal or acceleration).

Confluence: If the background turns Gold, 3+ cycles are peaking simultaneously. This is a major alert.

The Price Boxes (Breakout Logic) At a "Harmonic" count (e.g., 180, 360), the script draws a box based on that specific candle's High and Low.

Red Line: The High of the Time-Pivot candle.

Green Line: The Low of the Time-Pivot candle.

Buy Signal: Generated when a candle closes above the Red Line.

Sell Signal: Generated when a candle closes below the Green Line.

This filters out noise by ensuring you only trade when price breaks the structure defined by the Time Cycle.

Settings Guide
Show Dashboard: Toggles the countdown panel.

Show Cycle S/R Levels: Toggles the horizontal support/resistance lines.

Show Breakout Signals: Toggles "BUY" and "SELL" labels (Default: OFF).

Show Labels on Lines: Toggles text on vertical lines (Default: OFF for cleaner charts).

Risk Disclaimer
Trading financial markets involves high risk. This script is a technical analysis tool for projecting time cycles and historical price structures. It does not guarantee future performance or profits. Past cycle alignment does not ensure future market movement. Always manage your risk.

Gann Pyramid Time Cycles is a comprehensive technical analysis system that fuses W.D. Gann’s classic "Time Factor" theories with modern momentum and volatility logic.

Unlike standard time-cycle indicators that simply draw vertical lines on a chart, this system creates active trading windows. It operates on the philosophy that Time triggers Volatility. When a harmonic time cycle completes, the market often enters a state of expansion. This script identifies those moments and waits for a confirmed volatility breakout before signaling a trade.

Core Methodology
This system relies on three technical pillars:

Harmonic Time: It projects forward from a user-defined "Anchor Point" (High or Low) using specific harmonic intervals (e.g., 144-bar Gann Cycle, Daily, Weekly).

Volatility Expansion (ATR): When a time cycle hits, the script measures the Average True Range (ATR) to build a "Watch Box." It captures the expected noise of the market.

Momentum (ADX): Signals are graded based on the ADX trend strength. A breakout is considered higher probability if the ADX is above a key threshold (default 25).

Features v2.0
⌛ The Hourglass Trigger: A high-visibility visual cue (White Hourglass) appears exactly when a time cycle completes, alerting you to "Get Ready."

Dynamic Breakout Boxes: Automatically draws a valid range (Upper/Lower bounds) based on market volatility.

Smart Dashboard: A real-time table tracking the historical statistics of every active cycle on the current chart.

Adjustable Risk/Reward: Customizable R:R ratio (default 1:1.5) for automated target calculation.

Single-Stream Alerts: One single alert setup can monitor all active timeframes (1m, 144m, Daily, etc.) simultaneously.

Full Tutorial & Setup Guide
1. Setting the Anchor
The most critical step is defining your "Zero Point."

Open the Settings (⚙️).

Find "Anchor Time".

Set this date/time to a significant historical Major High or Major Low.

Tip: If you are scalping (1m/5m), pick a high/low from earlier today or yesterday. If you are swing trading (4H/Daily), pick a major pivot from weeks or months ago.

2. Understanding the Signals
The system uses a Wait > Watch > Act workflow:

Step 1 (The Hourglass ⏳): When a Time Line appears with an Hourglass icon, the cycle has triggered. The script is now in "Watch Mode." A transparent box will form.

Step 2 (The Breakout): The script waits for a candle close outside of this box.

Breakout Above: Generates a BUY signal.

Breakout Below: Generates a SELL signal.

Step 3 (Confluence):

Standard Signal: Green/Red label.

5-Star Signal (⭐): This appears if the breakout happens while ADX > 25 (High Momentum) and aligns with the 144 EMA Trend.

3. Execution & Risk Management
Once a signal fires, the script projects a visual trade setup:

Stop Level: The opposite side of the breakout box.

Target Level: Calculated based on your "Reward Ratio" setting (Default 1.5x risk).

Note: If price hits the Target, the cycle records a "Hit" on the dashboard. If it hits the Stop, it records a "Miss."

4. Using the Dashboard
The panel in the bottom right provides live telemetry:

CYCLE: The timeframe being monitored (e.g., 144m).

STATE:

WAIT: Idle, waiting for next time cycle.

WATCH: Hourglass active, looking for breakout.

OPEN: Trade active.

STATS: Displays the historical success rate of signals on the current loaded chart data (e.g., 75% match).

NEXT T: The time remaining until the next harmonic cycle triggers.

Settings Configuration
Lookback History: Controls how far back calculations run (keep lower for faster performance).

Harmonic Spacing: The multiplier for cycles (Default 4).

Reward Ratio: Adjust to match your trading style (e.g., 2.0 for aggressive trend following).

Active Cycles: Toggle specific timeframes on/off to reduce chart clutter.

Disclaimer
This script is for educational and analytical purposes only. Past performance of harmonic cycles does not guarantee future results. Trading involves significant risk. Always use proper risk management.

v2.1 Update Notes:

Visual History Fix: Restored persistent trade boxes and vertical lines. Historical signals now remain visible on the chart for backtesting review.

Visual Clarity: Restored the solid Red/Green trade boxes and the 50% dashed midline for clearer target identification.

Optimized Defaults: Reset default active cycles to 144m and Daily only, reducing chart clutter for new users.

Performance: Improved "Hourglass" logic to be ephemeral, keeping the live edge clean without cluttering historical data.
