Powerful buy and sell signal using both open interest + ratio of longs/shorts.

Executive summary and value
This indicator inspects in OI to calculate the ratio of longs and shorts in most exchanges at once then using basic statistics tools finds extremes of over positive or pessimistic scenarios to counter trade: long when everybody is short, short when everybody is long.

What does it do: the technical
- It calculates the number of longs and shorts based on the open interest fluctuations.
- It shows an oscillator representing the ratio of longs vs shorts
- It shows the ratio normalised between 0 to 100 using RSI
- It plots two percentile nearest rank bands: white and yellow
- The white is a slow one that tracks extremes from a longer period, the yellow one tracks a shorter period making it faster moving


Buy sell signals
- There are two types of signals, fast band crosses and slow band crosses
- The slow band crosses plots green and red signals for buy and sell correspondingly
- The fast band crosses plots blue and orange signals for buy and sell correspondingly
- The fast signals can only trigger if a slow signal trigger recently , use the maxloopback and minloopback to adjust this window
- Signals can be used in any timeframe but the higher the timeframe the better the quality

Filters
- Signals can be filtered using the OI filter
- High OI filter will skip any signals if the OI is not very high (RSI OI > 70)
- Low OI filter will skip any signals if the OI is not very high (RSI OI > 70)
- When OI is very high it will plot green lines on top of the oscillator
- When OI is very low it will plot red lines at the bottom of the oscillator
- Notice this filter might not work very well with higher timeframes. It gives better results in 15m to max 4h tfs

Quality
The quality parameter can compress or expand the bands
The parameter moves the bands as a percentage
It supports both negative and positive values
Use it to adjust the sensitivity of the signals

Alerts and backtesting
The indicator supports both backtesting and alerts for all events
