Buddy Pro Indicator

259
Buddy Pro is designed to serve as a trading assistant by filtering out indicator noise (such as excessive lines, clouds, and overlays) and trader bias. It interprets a range of well-documented, proven technical strategies in the background, delivering only the final analysis findings in clear visual and text-based form.

Why Use this indicator?
The three pillars of successful analysis are trend, momentum, and structure. A common trader oversight is focusing on one or two while neglecting the others, leading to incomplete analysis of their trading pair.

Indicators Core Functionality
Users select one of five modes via the settings dropdown:
  • Analyst Mode(default):

Displays trend direction through candle body color overrides and plots horizontal support/resistance levels derived from divergence points. It includes a Trade Guide box does the analysis for you leaving you the the answers as summarized as trend, momentum, and structure analysis. Leading to a strategy recommendation and guidance for managing swing trades (hold, add, or close).

  • Trader Mode:

Switches between bull or bear trade recommendations based on the Trade Guide findings. Allows building larger positions in harmony with the market trend. Buy or sell in the gray boxes, and HODL with the trend.

  • Stealth Mode:

Removes all visual overrides (colors, lines, labels) for a minimal chart while keeping the Trade Guide box active. Trade your own way with added confluence.

  • Bull Setups Mode or Bear Setups Mode:

Displays only bullish (or bearish) trade signals, labels, and action lines & entry zones.
  • A persistent Trade Guide box (with user-selectable position and text size)

It summarizes the market state across the three pillars plus a provides a final swing strategy recommendation:
The Trade Guide uses color-coded text to highlight conditions and delivers actionable recommendations (e.g., risk levels, suggested setups). This makes Buddy Pro beginner-friendly: multiple strategies run in the background to provide clear, unbiased recommendations rather than leaving decisions open to interpretation.

Underlying Concepts and Calculations
While incorporating proven public-domain concepts (operating in the background) such as Supertrend, Heikin Ashi smoothing, Rsi divergence, Ichimoku Cloud elements, Macd principles, and structural/Fibonacci adjustments, Buddy Pro delivers unique value through proprietary integration and custom logic working in the background. Taking the "You" out of the equation when trading.
The purpose of this combination is to enforce strict confluence across all three pillars—something free standalone indicators rarely do automatically—reducing false signals and emotional overrides. Each component filters and validates the others:

  • Trend

Combines Supertrend-based volatility filtering with a hierarchy of moving averages to confirm directional alignment across time horizons. Supertrend prevents MA crossovers from triggering in choppy/low-volatility ranges, while the MA hierarchy detects whether the trend is short-, medium-, or long-term dominant. When all align, candle bodies are colored blue (bullish – favor longs) or orange (bearish – favor shorts). Override appears only in Analyst, Bull/Bear, or Trader modes.

  • Momentum

Starts with Heikin Ashi smoothing to reduce noise, then integrates MACD-style oscillator behavior, RSI extremes, and Ichimoku Cloud components (cloud position for range vs. trend context, line crossovers for shifts, Chikou confirmation for momentum persistence). This produces 11 distinct momentum phases—from strong breakout (cloud break + upward crossover) to weak continuation (inside cloud) to rangebound chop. Each phase includes adaptive risk guidance and ties directly to which setups are allowed.

  • Structure

Scans for regular and hidden RSI divergences using multi-length lookback with range-based filters to suppress noise in trending or volatile markets. Plots horizontal lines at divergence points—blue for support (likely trend continuation) and orange for resistance (bearish pressure)—extending forward for context. These lines serve as dynamic invalidation/reference levels for setups.

  • Strategy Analysis

Requires full pillar alignment before issuing a persistent recommendation (e.g., "Hold Swing Longs"). Once bullish alignment occurs for the first time, swing direction locks until a complete reversal is confirmed across all three pillars. In Trader mode, this locks setups to the same direction, preventing counter-trend trades.

Using the built in Trade Setups
In Bull/Bear or Trader modes, labels (S01–S04) mark opportunities filtered by the Trade Guide recommendation:
  • S01: Regular divergence → reversal entries (hunting tops/bottoms at end of correction waves).
  • S02: Range-bound → supply/demand zone tests (double bottoms/tops, pin bars).
  • S03: Breakout → power candles signaling new momentum entry.
  • S04: Hidden divergence → wave continuation (add to swing positions).

Each includes zoned lines (red = invalidation/stop, gray = entry range, green = take-profit) using adjusted structural levels. Alerts also provide full setup explanations, risk notes, and guidance.
Trading Sessions
Optional background shading and vertical lines for Tokyo, London, and New York sessions (customizable colors) to highlight volatility windows.

Guide to getting the best swing trade entries. Also called the "3 candle rule"

Overview
  • Wait for multi-timeframe trend alignment, then enter on resumption after a pullback (color flip back to the higher-timeframe direction).
  • Each setup draws zoned lines: red for invalidation/stop, gray for entry range, green for take-profit targets.
  • Zones use adjusted structural levels for visual trade mapping.
  • All strategies include detailed instructions in their alert messages—set alerts to save time and stay guided.

Applying the 3-Candle Rule Strategy
  1. Add Buddy Pro to your chart (defaults to Analyst mode for easy multi-timeframe analysis).
  2. Check higher timeframes (e.g., Daily → 4H → 1H) for trend harmony (consistent candle colors). Once aligned, switch to your preferred trading timeframe (15-min to 1-min for legacy pairs; avoid below 8-min for crypto due to potential distortion from violent swings).
  3. On the lower timeframe, wait for the trend color to flip opposite (signaling a wave correction), then back to the higher-timeframe direction—this confirms resumption. Enter a swing trade using the low/high of the last 3–5 candles as invalidation (opposite for bearish).
  4. Switch to Trader mode and use appearing setups to add to your swing position. Rely on the Trade Guide box as the primary decision tool: Follow Strategy Analysis for swing direction bias (“Hold Swing Longs” / “Hold Swing Shorts”). This keeps you in the move as long as background strategies indicate upside/downside potential.
  5. Adjust risk on new entries based on the Momentum Analysis phase.
  6. Confirm additional entries with structure levels and setups.
  7. The Strategy Analysis flips only on a complete trend reversal and establishment of the opposite direction—helping you stay in strong moves (e.g., parabolic rises) until real sentiment changes.

This creates a streamlined, harmony-focused system that saves time on manual analysis, helps beginners avoid common emotional pitfalls (e.g., exiting winners too early), and supports disciplined trading across stocks, forex, and crypto on any timeframe.
