Binance Stops Cryptocurrency Payment Service
According to CoinDesk, cryptocurrency exchange Binance will shut down its payment service Binance Connect (formerly Bffinity) just a year after its launch. This service will be disabled on August 16 as Binance wants to focus on its main products and long-term goals.
“We periodically review our products and services to ensure that resources are focused on our core efforts, in line with our long-term strategy. Over the past 6 years, Binance has grown from a exchanges into a global blockchain ecosystem with multiple businesses," Binance said in a statement.
“We are always adjusting and modifying our business direction in response to the ever-changing needs of our users and the market,” added a Binance spokesperson.
Europe's First Spot Bitcoin ETF
London-based Jacobi Asset Management has listed Europe's first bitcoin ETF on Euronext Amsterdam. The listing process took up to two years after this ETF was approved.
The Jacobi FT Wilshere Bitcoin ETF is regulated by the Guernsey Financial Services Commission (GFSC) and will trade under the ticker "BCOIN". The fund will be overseen by Fidelity Digital Assets and trading firm Flow Traders acting as market makers, Jacobi said.
