Simply slapping an indicator or algorithm on top of a market and hoping it works is like waking up in the middle of winter in Alaska, putting shorts and a tank top on and expecting it to be summer.

Markets breakout all the time, but unless they are in the proper environment (I call that the proper regime), they can't sustain the breakout and trend.
