Indicator Description – Multi ATR % (MTF)

This indicator is designed to visualize volatility across multiple timeframes, helping traders quickly identify which market phase or timeframe offers the most efficient trading opportunities.

By converting the Average True Range (ATR) into a percentage of price (ATR%), it provides a normalized measure of volatility that can be easily compared across different assets or timeframes.

🔍 Core Functions

Quick Volatility Comparison:
Instantly see which timeframe (e.g., 1D, 4H, 1H, 15m) is showing stronger or weaker volatility.

Stop-Loss Optimization:
Use the average ATR% as a reference to define reasonable stop-loss zones that adapt to current market conditions.

Grid & Range Trading Support:
When displayed in percentage mode, ATR% helps users design balanced grid intervals or range strategies with consistent risk-reward profiles.

📈 How to Use

Trend vs. Range Identification

Rising ATR% indicates expanding volatility and potential breakout conditions.

Falling ATR% suggests contraction and consolidation phases — ideal for grid or mean-reversion setups.

Cross-Timeframe Volatility Alignment

When higher-timeframe ATR% is strong while lower-timeframe ATR% remains stable, volatility is compressing within a larger structure.

When short-term ATR% spikes sharply, watch for intraday reversals or stop-hunt moves.

Practical Example

For SOL: daily ATR% ≈ 6% → grid spacing can be set around 1–2%.

For ETH: daily ATR% ≈ 3–4% → grid spacing around 0.8–1.2% works well.

💡 Tips

Combine with volume or CVD indicators to confirm momentum during volatility expansion.

Use different color schemes for each timeframe to visualize volatility compression and expansion phases clearly.

Works well as a supporting layer for automated or semi-automated trading systems.
