Core Logic
This indicator evaluates trend strength using six moving averages:
• EMA 10
• EMA 20
• EMA 50
• SMA 100
• SMA 150
• SMA 200
Two independent components are calculated:
1. Trend Score (Position-Based Strength)
For each MA, the script checks whether price is above or below it.
Each condition contributes +1 (above) or –1 (below).
Score range:
+6 → price above all MAs (strong bullish dominance)
0 → mixed structure
–6 → price below all MAs (strong bearish dominance)
This transforms MA positioning into a clear numeric strength scale.
2. Perfect Alignment Detection
The script checks if the MAs are stacked in correct structural order:
Bullish alignment:
EMA10 > EMA20 > EMA50 > SMA100 > SMA150 > SMA200
Bearish alignment:
EMA10 < EMA20 < EMA50 < SMA100 < SMA150 < SMA200
When full alignment occurs, background highlighting is triggered and alerts fire.
Visualization
• Histogram column showing trend score (–6 to +6)
• Dynamic color gradient from strong red (–6) to strong green (+6)
• Reference lines at +6, –6, and 0
• Background highlight when perfect MA alignment occurs
• Alert triggers for first occurrence of full bullish or bearish alignment
Interpretation Guide
+6 → Maximum bullish dominance (trend continuation environment)
+4 to +5 → Strong bullish bias
+2 to +3 → Moderate bullish bias
0 → Transition / compression
–2 to –3 → Moderate bearish bias
–4 to –5 → Strong bearish bias
–6 → Maximum bearish dominance
Perfect alignment indicates structural trend maturity and often appears during sustained directional moves.
Best Use Cases
• Higher timeframe trend filter for scalping systems
• Confirmation layer for breakout strategies
• Bias filter for liquidity sweep entries
• EA integration as numeric trend strength variable
• Portfolio-level directional filter
Especially powerful when combined with:
• Supertrend
• VWAP Confluence
• Market Structure
• Liquidity Zones
Practical Insight
The score reacts faster than full alignment.
Alignment confirms structure; score measures dominance.
Use score expansion (+2 → +4 → +6) as trend acceleration signal.
Use score contraction (+6 → +2 → 0) as early warning of weakening trend.
