WHAT'S THIS?
This IS NOT the wheel "Re-Invention"... This is exactly what the name says: A pair of Envelope Bands to measure "volatility", constructed at statistical relation from within price series and their Rolling back MEAN (Simple Moving Average). YES, What Mr. Bollinger did and put it's name to this simple, cleaver and popular formula.
This time, I took the time to make another simple mod, but seems to me to be quite functional in REAL VOLATILE assets like in the example chart: TO USE THEIR GEOMETRIC MODE!!
Cheers!
Any feedback or public modification(s) are quite welcome to the community....!

BB 100 with Barcolors6/19/15 I added confirmation highlight bars to the code. In other words, if a candle bounced off the lower Bollinger band, it needed one more close above the previous candle to confirm a higher probability that a change in investor sentiment has reversed. Same is true for upper Bollinger band bounces. I also added confirmation highlight bars to the 100 sma (the basis). The idea is that lower and upper bands are potential points of support and resistance. The same is true of the basis if a trend is to continue. 6/28/15 I added a plotshape to identify closes above/below TLine. One thing this system points out is it operates best in a trend reversal. Consolidations will whipsaw the indicator too much. I have found that when this happens, if using daily candles, switch to hourly, 30 min, etc., to catch a better signal. Nothing moves in a straight line. As with any indicator, it is a tool to be used in conjunction with the art AND science of trading. As always, try the indicator for a time so that you are comfortable enough to use real money. This is designed to be used with "BB 25 with Barcolors".

Commodity channel index x2 v1Slightly enhenced CCI. Take a look how difference between slow and fast CCI displayed as histogram can predict possible reverse.
EDIT: fast = 14, slow = 28 works better.

This year I am focusing on learning from two of the best mentors in the Industry with outstanding track records for Creating Systems, and learning the what methods actually work as far as back testing.
I came across the RSI-2 system that Larry Connors developed. Larry has become famous for his technical indicators, but his RSI-2 system is what actually put him “On The Map” per se. At first glance I didn’t think it would work well, but I decided to code it and ran backtests on the S&P 100 In Down Trending Markets, Up Trending Markets, and both combined. I was shocked by the results. So I thought I would provide them for you. I also ran a test on the Major forex Pairs (12) for the last 5 years, and All Forex Pairs (80) from 11/28/2007 - 6/09/2014, impressive results also.
The RSI-2 Strategy is designed to use on Daily Bars, however it is a short term trading strategy. The average length of time in a trade is just over 2 days. But the results CRUSH the general market averages.
