Thời gian đọc: 1 phút

Sep 9 - Intel INTC announced a wave of leadership changes as it works to regain momentum in the chip sector. The company hired Kevork Kechichian as executive vice president and general manager of its Data Center Group. Kechichian, who previously worked at Arm Holdings ARM, will oversee Intel's data center business, including its Xeon processor line.

At the same time, longtime executive Jim Johnson steps in to lead Intel's Client Computing Group, its largest division by revenue. That unit brought in $7.9 billion last quarter, down 3% from the prior year. Meanwhile, Srini Iyengar, coming from Cadence Design Systems CDNS), will run Intel's new Central Engineering Group, with a mandate to build out custom silicon offerings for external clients.

Naga Chandrasekaran will expand his responsibilities inside Intel Foundry, while Michelle Johnston Holthaus, chief executive of Intel Products and former interim co-CEO, plans to leave after more than three decades with the company.

Intel's latest quarter showed 4% revenue growth in its Data Center and AI group, well below peers Nvidia NVDA and Advanced Micro Devices AMD. Leadership shifts come as Intel tries to narrow that gap and capture new growth opportunities.
