[ALERTS] Range Filter"This is an experimental study designed to filter out minor price action for a clearer view of trends. Inspired by the QQE's volatility filter, this filter applies the process directly to price rather than to a smoothed RSI . First, a smooth average price range is calculated for the basis of the filter and multiplied by a specified amount. Next, the filter is calculated by gating price movements that do not exceed the specified range. Lastly the target ranges are plotted to display the prices that will trigger filter movement. [ALERTS] ADX and DIThe average directional index (ADX) is a technical analysis metric. Analysts use it to determine the relative strength of a trend, with the direction of the trend either upwards or downwards. The Average Directional Index (ADX) along with the Negative Directional Indicator (-DI) and the Positive Directional Indicator (+DI) are momentum strength indicators that evolved for use in stock trading. Commodities trader J. Welles Wilder pioneered their use. Technical traders who use charting techniques want to know when first spotting a shifting trend how strong that trend is and how likely it is to sustain itself over time. The ADX helps investors determine trend strength as they plan their investment strategies. Confirmation on a chart and other momentum indicators help investors spot trend reversals. But some trends are more potent than others and investors want to better understand the strength of a trend. The ADX identifies a strong positive trend when the ADX is over 25 and a weak trend when the ADX is below 20. Investors can determine directional movement by analyzing the difference between two consecutive low prices and their correlated highs. The movement is +DM when the current high price, less the previous high price, is greater than the previous low price less the current low. The opposite applies in determining the negative or –DI. When analyzing charts, stock price is the single most important variable to follow. ADX and other indicators are supplementary to price movements in providing additional directional information and support. For example, some of the best trends come about from price range consolidation. It is those tugs of war between buying and selling volumes that lead to breakouts and other trading opportunities. The Inventor of the Average Directional Index J. Welles Wilder, Jr. is a former American engineer and real estate developer who went on to revolutionize trading analysis by applying mathematical systems to the world of investing. In addition to developing the ADX, Wilder is also responsible for several other commonly used technical analysis tools including the Average True Range (ATR), the Relative Strength Index (RSI) and the Parabolic SAR. www.investopedia.com This script has alerts and includes the filter for markets with no trend defined. MG - Range trader - 1.0This one is a bit of an experiment.. The theory is, if you have an asset that you firmly believe will rise in the future for fundamental reasons and are happy to hold until that happens i.e. a be a position trader, you can take advantage of market volatility at the same time in a relatively safe way, so theoretically, you profit when the price goes up or down E.g. You have $1000, an asset in which you want to become a position trader and you are happy to either make more money or more of the asset as you believe that will make you more money in the future, you could wait until a decent retracement, maybe around a good support level, then buy $500 of the asset and simply sell if it goes up by X, buy if it goes down by X. If you keep doing this, you will end up with either with more of the asset or more money. You have a sure gain either way (if you are happy to have either money or asset) There are some considerations: The higher the trade size, the faster profit compounds and the faster you exhaust your available buys and sells - E.g. If asset is $100, you have $500 and you plan to buy / sell every $10 change, if the asset drops straight to $40, your last buy will be at $50, at which point, the asset is still dropping. But it you only plan to buy / sell $5 every $10 price, you will be able to buy right down to 0. In times of strong trend, it may be better to avoid this approach altogether as there may not be so much oscillation or at least to use a small if not minimum order size. Application: The buy and sell triggers can be connected using autoview to convert this indicator into a range trading bot

[Autoview][BackTest]Dual MA Ribbons R0.12 by JustUncleLThis is an implementation of a strategy based on two MA Ribbons, a Fast Ribbon and a Slow Ribbon. This strategy can be used on Normal candlestick charts or Renko charts (if you are familiar with them). The strategy revolves around a pair of scripts: One to generate alerts signals for Autoview and one for Backtesting, to tune your settings. The risk management options are performed within the script to set SL(StopLoss), TP(TargetProfit), TSL(Trailing Stop Loss) and TTP (Trailing Target Profit). The only requirement for Autoview is to Buy and Sell as directed by this script, no complicated syntax is required. The Dual Ribbons are designed to capture the inferred behavior of traders and investors by using two groups of averages: > Traders MA Ribbon: Lower MA and Upper MA (Aqua=Uptrend, Blue=downtrend, Gray=Neutral), with center line Avg MA (Orange dotted line). > Investors MAs Ribbon: Lower MA and Upper MA (Green=Uptrend, Red=downtrend, Gray=Neutral), with center line Avg MA (Fuchsia dotted line). > Anchor time frame (0=current). This is the time frame that the MAs are calculated for. This way 60m MA Ribbons can be viewed on a 15 min chart to establish tighter Stop Loss conditions. Trade Management options: Option to specify Backtest start and end time. Trailing Stop, with Activate Level (as % of price) and Trailing Stop (as % of price) Target Profit Level, (as % of price) Stop Loss Level, (as % of price) BUY green triangles and SELL dark red triangles Trade Order closed colour coded Label: >> Dark Red = Stop Loss Hit >> Green = Target Profit Hit >> Purple = Trailing Stop Hit >> Orange = Opposite (Sell) Order Close Trade Management Indication: Trailing Stop Activate Price = Blue dotted line Trailing Stop Price = Fuschia solid stepping line Target Profit Price = Lime '+' line Stop Loss Price = Red '+' line Dealing With Renko Charts: If you choose to use Renko charts, make sure you have enabled the "IS This a RENKO Chart" option, (I have not so far found a way to Detect the type of chart that is running). If you want non-repainting Renko charts you MUST use TRADITIONAL Renko Bricks. This type of brick is fixed and will not change size. Also use Renko bricks with WICKS DISABLED. Wicks are not part of Renko, the whole idea of using Renko bricks is not to see the wick noise. Set you chart Time Frame to the lowest possible one that will build enough bricks to give a reasonable history, start at 1min TimeFrame. Renko bricks are not dependent on time, they represent a movement in price. But the chart candlestick data is used to create the bricks, so lower TF gives more accurate Brick creation. You want to size your bricks to 2/1000 of the pair price, so for ETHBTC the price is say 0.0805 then your Renko Brick size should be about 2*0.0805/1000 = 0.0002 (round up). You may find there is some slippage in value, but this can be accounted for in the Backtest by setting your commission a bit higher, for Binance for example I use 0.2% Special thanks goes to @CryptoRox for providing the initial Risk management Framework in his "How to automate this strategy for free using a chrome extension" example.

AutoView - Hodl to SodlWrite your own strategy and use Hodl to Sodl to send Alerts for when to buy & sell, and automatically plot your anticipated buys/sells to the chart. A must have for AutoView users. Requires Pine Script coding. Not compatible with "Strategy Tester" tab and "Paper Trading" tab in TradingView. Hodl-Sodl itself is not a strategy. It is a framework for building AutoView strategies. For demonstration purposes, the image featured with this script shows an example of a very simple CCI strategy (and not a very good one), but you would presumably replace that with your own ideas. MP EMA V SMA StudySo I took an idea from various scripts out there that fcus on EMAs, EMA Ribbons, SMAs, including gains. The idea behind this is to eliminate excess noise by cross referencing values from both SMA and EMA in a more competitive environment. What this does is provide the trend determined by EMAs while using a SMA gain to cut out the fluff so to speak. Works good on multiple coins but is not supported by backtesting since I have not completed the Strategy script as of yet. Currently using this for 1h timeframes on ETHUSD coin in Kraken's exchange. Accumulation/Distribution ViewsThis is a script for a view I wanted to go along with the Autoview plugin I bought. Keep in mind this is my first script and was created for me to learn the Pinescript framework. This isn't meant to be perfect. Indicator colors are usually blue or green or red. Also keep in mind since this is my first script in a new framework, the more stuff I build the better improvement. This is just something I wanted to first create with settings I wanted for variance and colors. The things I create in the future will obviously be an improvement.

Progressive Profit Taking with Trailing StopThis is version 2 of Special features: Added partial profit taking as price rises. Profit taking is triggered by price crossing an EMA. After profit taking, price has to rise by a user-specified percent before taking profits again. Also includes condition for fully closing position after meeting specified profit target. To incorporate into your algo, turn the plotshape functions into alertcondition.
