What’s different vs. standard approaches?

How it works (technical)
The indicator begins by detecting changes in the specified higher timeframe, such as a new daily bar, to define segment boundaries. At each boundary, it finalizes the prior segment's RSI by summing positive and negative price changes over that period and derives the value from the ratio of those sums, then applies an exponential moving average for smoothing. Within the active segment, it accumulates ongoing ups and downs from price changes relative to the source, recalculating the running RSI similarly and smoothing it with the same EMA length.
Points for the running RSI are collected into an array starting from the segment's onset, forming a curved polyline once sufficient bars accumulate. Comparisons between the running RSI and the last completed segment's value determine the current direction as long, short, or neutral, with switches triggering deletions of old visuals and creation of new ones: a label at the RSI pane, a vertical dashed line across the RSI range, an emoji positioned via ATR offset on the price chart, a solid horizontal line at the switch price, a dashed line tracking current close, and a midpoint label for percent change from the switch.
Initialization occurs on the first bar by resetting accumulators, and visualization gates behind a minimum bar count since the segment start to avoid early instability. The trend strength table builds vertically with filled cells proportional to the rounded RSI value, colored by direction. All drawing objects update or extend on subsequent bars to reflect live progress.

The right table's header colors green for long, red for short, or gray for neutral/wait, with filled purple bars scaling from bottom (low RSI) to top (high), topped by the numeric value. Overlay elements project from switch bars: the solid green/red line as a price anchor, dashed tracker showing pullback extent, and percent label quantifying deviation—positive for alignment with direction, negative for counter-moves. Practical Workflows & Combinations

Behavior, Constraints & Performance
Signals confirm on bar close within segments, with running polyline updating live but gated by minimum bars to prevent flicker. Higher timeframe changes may introduce minor repaints on timeframe switches, mitigated by relying on confirmed HTF closes rather than intrabar peeks. Resource limits cap at 500 labels/lines and 50 polylines, pruning old objects on switches to stay efficient; no explicit loops, but array growth ties to segment length—suitable for up to 500-bar histories without lag.
Known limits include delayed visualization in short segments and insensitivity to overbought/oversold levels, as thresholds are inputted but not actively visualized. Gaps in source data reset accumulators prematurely, potentially skewing early RSI.
Sensible Defaults & Quick Tuning
Start with EMA length 10, daily segments, and 3-bar wait for balanced responsiveness on hourly charts. For excessive switches in ranging markets, increase wait bars to 5 or EMA to 14 to dampen noise. If signals lag in trends, drop EMA to 5 and use 1H segments. For stable assets like indices, widen to weekly segments; tune colors for dark/light themes without altering logic.
What this indicator is—and isn’t

Easy RSI Trend - The trend is your friend till the endThis indicator detects the trend for you and keeps you out of choppy markets. It does not give you a signal, rather it tells you for what kind of signals to look for on the top right of the screen: "Only Longs" or "Only Shorts"
If there is no trend or if a trend is overextended (overbought, oversold) it tells you: "No trade allowed"
The indicator does this by scanning the 4h and daily RSI. Both are displayed in a small table in the bottom right of the screen. The upper cell is the 4h RSI and the other the daily RSI value.

Ultimate RSI [LuxAlgo]The Ultimate RSI indicator is a new oscillator based on the calculation of the Relative Strength Index that aims to put more emphasis on the trend, thus having a less noisy output. Opposite to the regular RSI, this oscillator is designed for a trend trading approach instead of a contrarian one.
🔶 USAGE
While returning the same information as a regular RSI, the Ultimate RSI puts more emphasis on trends, and as such can reach overbought/oversold levels faster as well as staying longer within these areas. This can avoid the common issue of an RSI regularly crossing an overbought or oversold level while the trend makes new higher highs/lower lows.
The Ultimate RSI crossing above the overbought level can be indicative of a strong uptrend (highlighted as a green area), while an Ultimate RSI crossing under the oversold level can be indicative of a strong downtrend (highlighted as a red area).
The Ultimate RSI crossing the 50 midline can also indicate trends, with the oscillator being above indicating an uptrend, else a downtrend. Unlike a regular RSI, the Ultimate RSI will cross the midline level less often, thus generating fewer whipsaw signals.
For even more timely indications users can observe the Ultimate RSI relative to its signal line. An Ultimate RSI above its signal line can indicate it is increasing, while the opposite would indicate it is decreasing.
🔹 Smoothing Methods
Users can return more reactive or smoother results depending on the selected smoothing method used for the calculation of the Ultimate RSI. Options include:

These are ranked by the degree of reactivity of each method, with higher ones being more reactive (but less smooth).

The RSI returns a normalized exponential average of price changes in the range (0, 100), which can be simply calculated as follows:

where d represent the price changes. In order to put more emphasis on trends we can put higher weight on d . We can perform this on the occurrence of new higher highs/lower lows, and by replacing d with the rolling range instead (the rolling period used to detect the higher highs/lower lows is equal to the length setting).

RSI TrendRSI Hull Trend is a hybrid indicator with RSI of HULL Signal. The Hull MA is combined with RSI to see if the Hull MA Buy/Sell Signal is in overbought or oversold condition. Buy Sell Signals are plotted based on settings of OB/OS or RSI. This indicator is very useful to see if the Trend is in Exhaustion or Beginning of a Trend. Entry and Exit conditions can be more precise based on OB/OS condition of price action. In addition normal RSI trend is plotted with trend color from Hull MA. Best Performance with Heiken Ashi Candles.

This is a standard RSI indicator.
It changes the background color to green if the RSI reading is greater than the RSI bullish value and it changes to red if the RSI is below the RSI bearish value.
It will turn black for values between RSI bullish value and RSI bearish value.
You can tweak it to your liking, for example if you'd like to detect long only trades that are above 30 then you set RSI bearish value to 0 and RSI bullish value to 30 and it will only get long signals.
P.S More confirmation indicators will be necessary
RSI Swing v2 [Premium]The RSI signal is displayed with different color zones to reflect the value on the chart. This makes field evaluation more efficient.
RSI values of different time frames are displayed in the table, helping to evaluate the market more objectively.
